Importance of client hunting
The rest of the tasks can be handled by your team, but the main challenge is finding clients. If you can master client hunting, then you can work with any skill set you have. Whether you’re a graphic designer, web developer, programmer, or video editor, you can make it work.

We go to events and try to find clients there, but often there’s a ton of competition. Because of that, new freelancers can end up feeling stuck and give up pretty quickly. Example
Let me give you an example. So, there’s a billion people in the world, right? And out of that, 500 million people aren’t even working. Now, from the remaining 500 million, some are doing jobs and others are doing different things. But let’s say around 200 million people, or even 100 million, are actually running businesses globally. That means your target market consists of these 100 million people. Now, if you’re an individual and you say, ‘I want to reach out to these 100 million businesses.
If you’re not able to find even one client, then that’s on you. I’m going to give you some tips, and you can use them to hunt for clients as much as you want. Of course, it’s going to take time. I’m not saying you’ll watch this course and then have a client in five minutes—that’s not how it works. You need to implement these strategies, and remember, if today doesn’t go well, you’ve got a whole day tomorrow to research and find clients. So it’s not like you can just sit back and expect results immediately.
Everyone’s got their own thing going on, and over on platform F, you’ve got 50 people checking out your gig. So, you’re gonna get work from that crowd. I’m not saying freelancing platforms are bad or that you shouldn’t use them—I learned a lot from those platforms myself. But the next path I’m on feels way better than just sticking to freelancing sites. Sure, you start on F and your communication skills get better, but eventually, you want to level up to a different stage.
But if you want to get clients and bring in more orders, you need to find a way to get out of this hassle. And that way is exactly what you’ll learn in this course. I can guarantee you that what I’m going to share with you will make you realize, ‘Yeah, this is really something that can help me think big.’ I mean, I’m not stuck to any freelancing platform; the whole world is my market. I can sell my services or products anywhere. Now, there are some important things you need to pay attention to, so let’s go over them.
Aiming your goals (select your skills which you want to target or get client)
You need to figure out what service you’re working on, alright? Your skills or the service you provide are essentially your product. Or if you’ve created a product, then you need to sell that. Let’s take an example where you all are freelancers. I’ll give you examples from a freelancer’s perspective, but you can adapt these if you have a product because a service is just another type of product, right? So, if you’re selling a service, you really have to be an expert in it. It doesn’t matter what category you’re working in.
Graphic design is like, you need to be familiar with all the different categories that come under it. You should either know how to do the work yourself or at least have enough understanding to outsource it to someone else when you take on a client. But here’s the thing: to outsource effectively, you really need to have your own experience. You should know how the work actually gets done. Let me give you a simple example: let’s say I hire a video editor, but I used to do video editing myself before.
I know how everything works and how long it takes, especially when it comes to graphic design and generating thumbnails. So, I decided to hire someone and outsource my work. The thing is, since I already know the ins and outs of the job, I can make sure this person doesn’t try to pull any fast ones on me. I can guide them if they get stuck on something, explaining how things should be done. But if you have zero experience in that field and still want to outsource it, that could be a problem.
I should find clients and get work done by someone else, but if I don’t know anything myself, there’s going to be a huge gap in client communication. You won’t be able to manage this at all. That’s why you need to focus only on that one skill. You should find clients related to that skill you’re good at. You know the ups and downs of that skill and what problems people face in that area. So, I’ve made that clear. In the upcoming videos, we’ll talk about what important things you need to know and what to focus on.
You need to keep one important thing in mind first. After that, we’ll talk about what’s important when it comes to client hunting.
Client hunting importance
Now we are talk about some important things you should keep in mind before starting this course. I’ll break it down for you in detail, so make sure to pay close attention. This way, you won’t run into any issues later on. Everything I’m sharing is based on my own experiences, so you can trust that I’m not just rambling on about random stuff. The most important thing to remember is the skill or service you’re planning to sell.
You really need to be an expert in that area. Even if you’re not a full-fledged expert, you should at least have a basic understanding of how that work actually gets done. For instance, if you want me to do client hunting and then build a team to outsource all the work, you need to have some knowledge of that skill beforehand. Why is that? Well, if I go to a client, and I’ve found one, I can’t just say I’m doing digital marketing without knowing what I’m talking about.
Client Thinking
I told him I’d offer web development services. So when I go to provide those services, he’ll discuss things with me first because I reached out to him. Now, when he’s talking and communicating with you, you need to know everything about that skill. If you don’t, you’re going to run into a lot of problems because your client will quickly realize that you’re not an expert and just wasting their time.
If he’s not going to talk to you, then you need to be an expert in your skills first or at least know the basic important steps to get the job done. For example, I work on a lot of skills where I’m not an expert myself, but I have an expert who can handle that work. However, I know that if I’m discussing things with a client, I need to anticipate the kind of questions they’ll ask and how I can satisfy them with relevant answers related to that skill.
You should definitely know about that skill, even if you’re planning to outsource it. I’ve already mentioned that my main focus right now is client hunting. I focus on client hunting because my team handles the other work. My main job is finding clients because I know that the more clients I bring in, the more I can grow my team.
I can also spend a bit, or my team can manage all these clients, so I’d suggest that you should first have a good understanding of the skills involved before diving into client hunting. Another really important point is that whenever you reach out to a client, like through emails and such, you’ll find a lot of clients available, as I mentioned in the previous video. The whole world is open to you.
Must have professional email
Note: First step is to creat a website and professional email if your are expert then skip this article and go to next part of this article.
You can become a client if you’re running a business, right? So, for example, if you reach out to them, you should have a professional email. If you’re trying to contact them through a @gmail account, they’re not going to take you seriously—they might not even reply. All you need to do is make a small investment in getting a professional email. You don’t have to buy one from somewhere; you can set it up yourself. To do that, you need to have hosting, and then you can create your own email.
When you create a website, you basically attach hosting and a domain to it. With that domain, you can also generate your own email addresses. Now, when you’re going to meet clients, having a professional email is a must. For example, if you look at my website, let’s uncover it, my professional email address is sun@c.com, not a Gmail address. Why does that matter? It shows professionalism.
Basically, it could happen that someone like Bilal saeed sends an email to Layton about a cover. They searched for Layton on Google, and maybe they’re thinking of creating something in his name. But when they open your website, everything should be available that matches the services you offer. Like, for example, if you’ve set up an agency or a portfolio website related to digital marketing, it shouldn’t have random stuff like graphic design mixed in. You get what I mean? It should all be about digital marketing.
You need to add things related to that client inside your work. You reached out to this client because you wanted to sell them digital marketing services. If you just list a ton of different services, they might think, ‘This guy isn’t right for me; I need an expert.’ So, that’s an important thing to keep in mind. After that, you’ll need to enter your name on the card, the card number, and the CVC code. Once you find one you like, just click on ‘Continue.’ After that, you’ll get options for registration. Buy your brand name domain
We’re getting the domain for free, and we can easily create it using the Hostinger builder. I’ll show you—right now, the Hostinger builder is so simple that even a 10-year-old kid could create a website with it. And since you’re older and smarter, you should have no trouble setting this up. As you can see, our setup is complete, and it will automatically open the Hostinger builder so you can start creating your website directly. Just click on ‘Start Creating.
Here’s the deal: there’s an option to create something through AI, but honestly, I wouldn’t go that route just yet because the results aren’t great at the moment. So, let’s head back to hostinger.com. Just click on the login button. You’ll see that I currently have three hosting options available. Now, you need to click on ‘Websites.’ You’ll notice the domain you’re working with, so go ahead and click on ‘Edit Website.’ The rest of the process on how to create the website is.
Creat portfolio for your website
I’m showing you a video here where I demonstrated how to create a portfolio website using this site. Basically, it’s super easy – just a couple of clicks and you’ve got a one-page website. You can add sections like ‘About Me,’ ‘Experience,’ ‘Testimonials,’ and ‘Contact.’ It’s all really straightforward. You can also add your pictures and logos without any hassle. You can check out the video here. By the way, I already have a domain, so I’m going to use that one.
I’m going to use this now. You can see here that ‘Earn Money Fad’ is my domain. I actually showed you how to create a website on this in a previous video. So, I’m going to click on ‘Select’ now. As soon as I select that domain, I get two options: either I can use a template or build the website through the AI website builder. The AI website builder is pretty new, but you just need to give it a prompt like, ‘Hey, I want my website to look like this.
AI website builder
I’ll show you how to use an AI website builder. Just click here, and you’ll need to enter your brand name, choose the type of website, and then write a description. This will easily create a website for you. But for now, I’m not going to use that; I’m going to use these templates instead. If you click on the portfolio section, you’ll see a bunch of templates available, and there are some really nice ones. You can select any of them if you want.
I’m gonna show you my favorite template. It’s called ‘Brooke.’ So let’s search for it. You can see that the Brooke template is right at the top. If you want, you can preview it. I’m going to click on ‘Select Template,’ and then we’ll click on ‘Change Template.’ When you’re building a website for the first time, you won’t see these options. I’ve already installed a template on this, so you can see ‘Welcome to Your Website’ now.

We’re not going to do that right now because we’ve already bought our hosting, and you probably got a good discount if you used my link. Now, what you’re seeing in front of you is a whole design I’ve created. I’m going to show you how to edit it using ChatGPT. I’ll ask ChatGPT what kind of things I need, and it’ll give me a simple description for writing stuff like this.
I’m going to change the logo here first, and ChatGPT will help me out with everything else. So, to change the logo, I’ll just click on it and then click on ‘Change Logo.’ After that, I’ll click on ‘Replace Image,’ upload my file, and add my logo here. I’ve selected the logo, and now you can see it’s come up like this. But I want to edit it a bit more, so I’ll go into the layout and check out the menu item spacing. You can see that your.
The menu has some spacing issues, so let’s give it a bit more space. And this padding here, we can reduce that a little bit. Alright, after that, we’ll go into the sections where you can adjust the width of the content from here. It’s looking really nice so far! Now, if you go into the styles, you can also change the background. For example, if I want to change the header background, I can choose any color I like from here. After that, I’ll click on the transparent header option. Just look at how beautiful it is.
If you’re not feeling it, we could go with white because it looks better. Besides that, we can also consider this color, which was the original one. Alright? After that, if you want to turn off the transparent header, you can do that. You can change the font and stuff too. Like, if you look here, I’ve used this robot font. You can see that the font has changed. Similarly, if you want to use another nice font, you can do that too. I’ve used a default font here. If you click on ‘Edit Text Styles,’ you’ll see more options available.
You’ll have the option to change styles too, but right now, you can see that something really beautiful has come together, so we’ll stick with that for now. Down below, you can see that there’s some text written here. Before that, you can change the image. I’ve uploaded my image here, and you can see how it looks now. After this, if I want to write something myself, I can totally do that, but we’re going to use ChatGPT and ask it what we should write.
Chat gpt helps to make a perfect website
I’m working on my portfolio website since I’m a digital marketer. I’m thinking of taking a short title for the website. I told it, ‘My name is Bilal saeed Tariq, and I’m a digital marketer. Please write a one-liner for the website title.’ So, it came up with ‘Bilal saeed Tariq: Your Go-To Digital Marketing Expert.’ If you just paste that here, you’ll see the style changes, and then you’ll need to adjust it separately. For that, you can open a separate text file and paste it there. After that, you can come back here.
If we paste this, its design won’t change. So, I’ve opened a website that has a word counter, and now I’m going to paste it here. You can see it turned out like this. Now, I want to change the size a bit; I can do that too. As you can see, it looks pretty nice this way. After that, we have an edit button. In the edit section, we have an option for ‘Email Me,’ and we can also add a contact option. But if we just want to send an email directly, like if someone wants to do that.
Click here and email us directly, and we’ll add our email address right here. It will say ‘Mail To.’ This means that a link gets generated through this. Anyone who clicks on it will have the email option pop up on their phone or computer. So, I’m adding my email here: listen up @let’s connect, okay? I’ve written that down. Now, we have these button styles showing up, so we’ll change the fill color a bit. Let me just write it down, and I’ll add that color.
I want to change the text color to black. Now, if you hover over it, you’ll see that the color changes to something else. If I want to change that, there’s an option for hover effects here. I’ll set the fill color to black and keep the text color white. Now you can see that it’s changed. After this, we can tweak more styles too. For example, if you go into animations, you can add a fade animation or a scale animation. So, that’s how you can do it!”
Once you’re inside, you can increase or decrease the text size here, okay? And after that, you can also change the font. I tried changing the font, but it doesn’t look that great, so I think I’ll leave it as it is. Below, there’s an option for border width, so you can increase that, but it might not look too good. However, you can turn on the corner radius, and look—now you have a nice button. Also, down below, you’ll see options for social media links.
Attach social media account
You can attach any social media you want here. For example, if I want to add another social media account, I just type in ‘instagram2.’ Once I click on it, I link it up. After linking, I just add my Instagram here.
I added this link here and saved it. After saving, you can see it’s turned into a link. You can do the same with your social media platforms to help build their credibility. What I’m showing you is for individuals. If someone is creating their portfolio website, this is the best way to do it. Now, you have an option for a background.
Here, I’ll use ChatGPT to write something simple. I’ve given it a basic prompt to explain what I want.””I work in digital marketing, and I’ve done quite a few things. So, I wrote a simple paragraph about it. I’m going to copy it here first, just to keep the formatting intact. After that, I’ll select it and paste it. If you want to remove or add anything, you can do that too. I’ve given you a basic idea of how to write about your background. Now, you can also include your skills here.
You can change it, or you can ask ChatGPT as well. So, I told ChatGPT to write out my skill set, and you can see here that it gave me a list of skills that I actually work on. We’re going to copy digital advertising in this way, and I’ll also copy the main points from it. You can copy the other points too and add them here. After you do that, there’s a section below with images. Just like I showed you earlier, you can change the images easily.
Image settings
You can change the images again, so I’ve uploaded a few here. Just to let you know, the images you need to add should be professional. For example, if I’m standing at a wedding, that’s not the kind of image you should use. Similarly, if I’m just standing at home, that’s also not appropriate. You want to go for professional-looking images with nice backgrounds. That’s what you should add. This should give you a clear idea. As you can see, I’ve added two images here.
So, if you’ve made those changes, you can also replace this part. After replacing it, you’ll see an option for your work experience below. You can add your work experience here in a similar way. For example, if I double-click here, I can write ‘Email Marketer.’ Then, we’ll put the company name here, and you’ll need to add the year you worked there. Also, make sure to include a brief description. If you look below, you can see those little details—you can even ask ChatGPT for help, like saying, ‘I worked as an Email Marketer at this company, so can I get a little description?’
Write Discription
Just give a brief description of the job, and they’ll help you fill in your work experience here. They’ll even write a short paragraph for you. Make sure to detail your education and courses, and include everything thoroughly. Don’t just leave things as they are; you need to edit everything like that. After you edit, you can add a little quote here, or if you want to remove this section, you can do that too. There’s a delete option right here for that.
You can remove the background if you want to change it. Let me show you how. If we go into the image and want to add another image on top of the background, we can click on ‘free images.’ I’ll click on this image here and add it to the page. Alright, now you can see there’s an image behind it. I’ll adjust the overlay opacity a bit, and look, you can see that image faintly.
If I click on the fixed background, check this out…””I’m scrolling, and the background image stays fixed while the website content scrolls over it. It creates a really nice and smooth effect. You can definitely do that! Also, down below, you should mention your clients and the reviews they’ve given you. You can add that here on Fiverr.
Just upload the five-star PNG here, and then you can drag and drop it to add it. Let me tell you something cool: you can create your website however you want! If you want to write any text, you can do that too. This is your chance to show off your creativity. You can design this website any way you like. If you don’t like a certain design, you can switch it up and try a different one. For example, if I want this image to be here and create a specific scene, I can do that too. Just like, for example.
I’m adding this feature here, which should be a review. I’ve made a change to the design, and you’ll see that I’ve updated it. So, basically, I just changed the design. When I save it, it will show up on the website exactly like this. Got it? You can do this too! If you make a mistake, just hit Control + Z, and it will undo your mistake. Also, down here, there’s an option for you to add your image, and this option is really interesting!
Contact forms
So, you’ve got this option here where someone can fill in their name, email, and message if they want to get in touch with you. They just need to add their name, email, and message, and when they hit submit, a message will be sent to your email. Now, let me tell you where that email is going. You need to click on ‘edit form’ first, and then look for ‘change where email notifications will be sent after each form submission.’ Got it? This is basically a form, and there’s a backend running it. So, the first thing you need to do is.
You just need to give your email, like I’ve given mine: letsuncover@yahoo.com. Now, if I want to change it, I can just type it in here. Listen, once you do that, you’ll get a notification saying someone has submitted this form. Now, to see what they asked and what their email was, all you have to do is click on ‘View Form Submissions’ here. As soon as you click on it, you’ll see all the submissions from everyone who filled out the form right here. So, you won’t have any problems at all!
It’s not like any of your clients have reached out to you and you’re going to miss something. That’s not going to happen. You can easily manage everything here. As you can see, there’s some text written here that you can change. For example, I can write ‘Suman’ and put the date here. After that, you can add your socials here. You can also add your email and phone number here. Now, let me show you something really interesting that you might not have noticed. Did you see those pages at the top?
Alright, so the menus we have here should have been on separate pages, but the template we used doesn’t allow for that. However, what’s really interesting is what I’m about to tell you. Make sure to save this along the way, just in case your internet connection drops or something, so you don’t lose any of this. You need to click on the preview button now. You’ll see that this is the preview mode. Check it out, the way you’ve set up your images makes your website look really beautiful. The design we created looks great like this, so it’s definitely a good setup. But if we.
Testing websites pages working
So, when you click on ‘About Me,’ ‘Experience,’ ‘Testimonials,’ or ‘Contact,’ here’s what happens: I clicked on ‘Experience,’ and it automatically took me to the experience section of the website. I clicked on ‘Testimonials,’ and now the testimonials are right there. When I clicked on ‘Contact,’ I landed in the contact section. And if I click on ‘About Me,’ I’m taken to that section. Got it? So, this is a one-page portfolio website that you can easily navigate, even if you have no prior knowledge.
After watching this video on creating a website, you’ll be able to easily implement these things and build your portfolio website. There’s really no simpler way to do it. Alright, once you’re done, just hit ‘Back to Editor’ here. If you want to go live with it, you can do that too; we’ve already made it live here. But there’s one more thing I want to mention: when you’re building a website, you need to optimize it for both computer and mobile. So, make sure to click on the mobile section here.
Your website will look like this on mobile, okay? So, if you want to edit it here, check this out – like, there are too many images showing up. You can remove some of those images from the mobile section, alright? Just take them out and you can make your website look really nice that way. Now that you know how to create a website, let me show you how to set up your professional email. For example, this is my domain, and we can edit it here and set everything up, but for now.
Set up your professional email
I didn’t make it because I’ve already shown you the same process in a video. So, you need to click on the emails option here. After clicking on emails, you’ll see that it says ‘setup not finished.’ But the setup is actually complete. It should look the same for you too, showing ‘setup not finished.’ Click on ‘manage’ and you’ll get to this page. What you need to do is not select the business email option.
You need to select the free option. Just click on ‘Select’ above, and your email will be registered with Titan. It’s just like when you open gmail.com; you’ll open titan.com the same way and log in with your email. You can send and receive emails from there really easily. You have the option to add your name here, and you can create an email with any name you want. I’ll just write ‘Bilal saeed’ here. After that, we’ll add a password.
I added the password, and after that, you also need to add the password recovery email address here. I added my email @inc. Then I clicked on ‘Create New Account.’ You can see that our password and email have been generated. Now, I need to access it, so I just have to go ahead and do that. Sorry, I meant Titan.
